What is the personal data used for and what personal data do we process?

To supply and develop our product and services to our customers
We process personal data of individuals which are employees or hired consultants or representatives of our customers to be able to provide our products and services, to charge for our services and to handle purchases by new customers, identify users to the services, to grant customer access to our services which our customer has a subscription for or in other way uses, to verify maintenance related checks and tasks that are signed by operating and maintenance crew, manage support issues and other problem-related questions of customer’s use of our products and services, including problem solving. The personal data we process is the name, used telephone number, organisation belonging and e-mail address of the employee operating the machinery or contacting Emba with product or service related questions. Our legal basis to do this is our legitimate interests.
Fulfilment of contracts with customers and suppliers or others
In order to fulfil our contracts with our customers and suppliers We process personal data of individuals which are employees or hired consultants or representatives of our customers and suppliers. The personal data We process is your contact information (name, e-mail address, phone number and organisation information) and the data will be processed during the term of the contract with the customer and the supplier and for as long as we need to keep the information on file to protect our legal interests related to performing under the contract. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests.
To develop and improve our products, services and systems for the customer and for customers in general and for business insight and machine learning
We will process personal data belonging to individuals which are employees or hired consultants or representatives of our customers in connection with developing and improving Emba’s products and services. The personal data We will process includes your username, name, email addresses, organisation belonging and electronic signatures to verify maintenance related checks and tasks that are signed by operating and maintenance crew as logged in users. We will also use this information to develop Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in order to develop future predictive maintenance support tools and experience based knowledge. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests.
How do we collect the data?
We collect data about you when you or a customer or supplier identifies you as an individual which is an employee or hired consultant or representative of our customer or supplier. As long as you are identified as such individual, we continuously collect information when you use our services on behalf of our customer or supplier. We also collect personal data when you contact us trough our helpdesk and support or when you contact us in other matters.
For how long is the personal data stored?
We are not processing personal data any longer than is necessary in the light of the purpose for which it was collected. The personal data we collect is processed for different purposes and provisions in laws are therefore stored for different periods of time.
Your rights
There are a number of rights that you may be entitled to exercise when We process your personal data. You are welcome to contact us with requests in order to exercise your rights:
Right to access. You have the right to receive information about which of your personal data We process. You have the right to a copy of the personal data, free of charge.
